SAFETY IS OUR #1 PRIORITY
SAFETY IS OUR #1 PRIORITY

As Maine slowly opens, we are excited to see some new and familiar pets and families! The safety of our pet professionals and clients (two-legged and four-legged) has always been our number one priority. Our pet professionals have completed COVID-19 certification for professional pet sitters and dog walkers. We continue to follow our COVID-19 safety protocols including hand hygiene, face masks, social distancing, exiting procedures, no-contact policy, and illness and exposure protocols.

  • We are now offering virtual consultations for new clients.

  • Our pet professionals practice hand hygiene including using hand sanitizer just prior to providing care and after exiting.

  • Our pet professionals wear masks when in a client's home and while walking outside. If a face mask makes a pet reactive or apprehensive, the mask may be removed to calm the pet and reapplied as soon as it is safe.

  • Our pet professionals remove their shoes before entering a client's home. Prior to exiting, team members disinfect touched surfaces such as door handles, crate latches, counters, light switches, and faucets with disinfecting wipes.

  • Our pet professionals are required to keep a minimum of six feet between themselves and others. This includes clients, the public, and other pet professionals. A no-contact policy applies to clients that are home when a Mainely Sitters pet professional arrives for care. Respectfully request placing your pet(s) in a yard, garage, sun-room, or entryway for no-contact pickup and drop-off for dog walks.

  • Our pet professionals will be removed from the schedule if exposed to coronavirus or symptomatic for acute respiratory illness. If a pet professional tests positive or has been exposed to COVID-19, Mainely Sitters will inform pet professionals and clients of possible exposure. Confidentiality will be maintained in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.

If you have specific COVID-19 safety precaution related requests or concerns, please contact us.

We are all in this together!
